Ahead of next month’s Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, five-time 500cc World Champion Mick Doohan and compatriot Daryl Beattie have been offering the unique experience of taking pillion passengers around the legendary Phillip Island Circuit.

Riding at speed around Phillip Island is not an experience many will enjoy, not least when on-board the same machine as the likes of Doohan or Beattie.

However, that is exactly what happened for several lucky passengers last Tuesday as the likes of Kate Peck, ambassador for the 2014 Australian Grand Prix, enjoyed the sights, sounds and feeling of the venue courtesy of a Mick Doohan Repsol Honda replica machine.

Also part of the occasion were chef Adam D’Sylva, ex-AFL footballer Campbell Brown and V8 Supercars star Rick Kelly, all ahead of the race on Sunday, 19 October.
