Suzuki has pulled the wraps off its 2015 model GSX-R1000 and as expected the biggest change is the addition of ABS for 2015.

The move was expected as the start of 2016 marks the date that all new motorcycles over 125cc are required to be fitted with ABS standard in Europe.

The ABS system is mated to the GSX-R’s Brembo radial-mount Monobloc calipers – arguably the best set-up on the market – and will make a great braking package even better.

The other change for the new machine is livery inspired by the resurgent MotoGP machine that replaces the traditional blue and white colour scheme. Additionally there are also two striking new colour options predominately red and black, though we wont be getting the red one in Australia.

With 2016 marking fifteen years since the first GSX-R1000, expect a very new and exciting machine from Suzuki this time next year to mark the event.

The non-ABS GSX-R will be available from early November and Suzuki Australia will assess market demand for the introduction of the ABS model for 2015.
