Team Motul Honda regular Wayne Maxwell will campaign a Champion’s Ride Days CBR1000RR next weekend at the Kings of Wanneroo, to be held at Barbagallo Raceway on 1-2 November.

The 2013 Australian Superbike Champion and current Australasian Superbike Championship points leader will head to Barbagallo Raceway as the favourite to take out this event before heading to Sydney Motorsport Park for the ASC finale later next month.

A regular at Wanneroo via his role at Champion’s Ride Days, Maxwell has targeted the 2014 Kings of Wanneroo title on board a CBR1000RR.

“I am pleased to be heading over to Wanneroo for this event, it’s been one of the events on my to win list,” Maxwell said. “Can’t wait to jump on the Champion’s Ride Days Honda CBR1000 for this event, very happy that my regular mechanic Warren will join me, this should make setup time a lot easier.

“We will head over on the Wednesday and run our Champion’s Ride Day event scheduled for Thursday before focusing on the weekend.”

The Kings of Wanneroo has seen riders such as Jeremy McWilliams, Johnny Rea, Michael Laverty, Guy Martin, Jamie Stauffer, Bryan Staring and Shannon Johnson compete in previous years.

Glenn Allerton won the inaugural Kings of Wanneroo in 2008, followed by Rea in 2009, Staring in 2010 and again in 2012.
