Yamaha will showcase its brand new 2015 model YZF-R1 at MOTO EXPO in Melbourne on 28-30 November, alongside a host of updated new motorcycles to debut at the show.

The R1 is scheduled to officially break cover at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy, on 6-9 November, before making its first Australian appearance at MOTO EXPO later in the month.

“It is fantastic to see the manufacturers utilising the show to launch their new to the market products,” event organiser Troy Bayliss said. “MOTO EXPO offers the perfect platform to showcase new products to both the media and consumers.

“It is shaping up to be a fantastic show, featuring a great line up of new models plus a huge mix of motorcycle accessories and services on display. MOTO EXPO has something for all ages and aspects of the industry, whether it is road or off-road, plus a huge line up of live entertainment.”

The event will feature Australasian reveals of new motorcycles from Yamaha, Harley Davidson, Victory, Indian, BMW, Ducati, KTM, Triumph and many more to be announced over the coming weeks.

For the first time the general public will see the unveiling of these bikes at the same time as media. Doors will open on Friday, 28 November, at 10.00am with the official show launch to take place at 10:30am.

Over 20,000 motorcycle enthusiasts are expected to attend MOTO EXPO Melbourne over the three-days of the event.

Entry into the show will include access to the Australian Motor Finance Head-2-Head EnduroCross and Baylisstic Scramble, which will see five teams of four riders compete for points to determine the team champions.

Visitors can expect to see some of Australia’s most successful motorcycle athletes along with entertainment including live street bike stunts, ATV, side by sides (UTV), mini moto, Freestyle Moto X, Trials and more.

Free undercover motorcycle parking will be available within the showgrounds for all visitors. Tickets to MOTO EXPO Melbourne are on sale now via www.motoexpo.com.au.
