Team Honda Racing duo Troy Herfoss and Aiden Wagner has claimed a convincing 1-2 finish in the opening round of the 2015 Swann Insurance Australasian Superbike Championship.

Herfoss already had a point to his credit after claiming pole on Saturday with the overall, and went on to win the round with a 2-1 scorecard.

It was young gun Wagner on debut who starred with the first race win – his second of the weekend – and he marginally lost out to Herfoss in the second.

Third overall today was defending champion Wayne Maxwell (Yamaha Racing Team with Yamaha Motorcycle Insurance), the first of the YZF-R1Ms after he got the better of teammate Cru Halliday in race two.
