It was a good day at the office for Team Honda Racing today at Round 4 of the ASC. #3 Troy Herfoss and #2 Jamie Stauffer finished 3rd and 6th respectively in the overall standings for the AFX-Superbike Series placing Herfoss on the front row for tomorrow’s Swann Insurance Superbike races.

Herfoss will start from P3 tomorrow and Stauffer from P6 in a very tight field and both Honda riders are confident of a strong result. Herfoss set the fastest lap of the day from Team Honda Racing with a lap time of 1:08.977 sec in Race 1 today, just .147 sec off the fastest outright lap of the day.

Herfoss was pleased with his strong start to the weekend, saying “I’m happy to finish 3rd overall for the day and to maintain my AFX-Championship lead. We made some adjustments between races and it really made a difference to the feel of the bike. I will start from the front row in P3 tomorrow and I believe the team has the bike where it needs to be for race wins. I’m looking forward to defend my championship lead again tomorrow in the Swann Series.”

Stauffer will start from P6 tomorrow. “Today was overall a strong day. My pace was good and we tried a couple of small changes today that gave us a very clear direction for tomorrow’s races. I finished 4th and 5th in the races today, but the field is tight so I am really looking forward to getting out on track and seeing what I can do tomorrow.”
