Ipone Superbike race one:
Yamaha Racing Team with Yamaha Motorcycle Insurance’s Glenn Allerton raced to his third win of the weekend in race one at Queensland Raceway this morning, controlling the 16-lap race from the front in the latter stages to take an eventual 0.181s victory over teammate Cru Halliday, who also led during the early laps of the race. Third was reigning champion Wayne Maxwell (YRT with YMI) over five seconds in arrears of Allerton, dropping off the pace at the end of the race but salvaging a podium come the chequered flag. In fourth was series leader Troy Herfoss, moving past Team Honda Racing teammate Jamie Stauffer on the final lap after almost running off the circuit during the opening lap. Completing the top 10 positions were Matt Walters (Kawasaki Connection), Sean Condon (BikeBiz / Ipone / Swann Insurance Racing Kawasaki), Mathew Harding (Kawasaki Connection), Ben Burke (SA Kawasaki Bcperformance) and William Davidson (Yamaha).

YRD Supersport race one:
Callum Spriggs (Yamaha) continued his domination of the Queensland Raceway round with victory in race one this morning, comfortably winning the eight-lap affair by 0.610s over Michael Blair (Yamaha) and Rick Olson (Kawasaki) – all three finishing within a second of eachother after the latter pair worked their way through the pack. Brayden Elliot (Suzuki) finished race one in position four, while Troy Guenther (Kawasaki) rounded out the top five. Filling positions six through 10 were Jay Presepio (Yamaha), Luke Mitchell (Yamaha), Paul Young (Kawasaki), Kyle Buckley (Kawasaki) and Brad Swallow (Kawasaki).

YRD Supersport race two:
An entertaining six-way battle for victory in race two of the Supersports saw Spriggs take a 0.063s win over Olson and keep his perfect weekend in tact, the pair dicing for position on the final lap until Spriggs got the nod out of the last turn in the run to the line. Marginally behind was Guenther in another strong showing, fending off Presepio, Blair and Elliott, while Young was a fast-finisher in seventh position. Mitchell, Mitch Levy (Yamaha) and Buckley rounded out the top 10 placings.

Ipone Superbike race two:
Cube Racing/Australian Outdoor Living Kawasaki’s Mike Jones rebounded from an opening race crash to win a dramatic second Superbike race this afternoon. The race was red-flagged due to Halliday going down at turn six on lap 11 while Allerton was in the lead, causing a six-lap restart to decide the results order. However the remaining YRT pairing of Allerton and Maxwell were forced to start from pit lane for the restart; penalised for refuelling in pit lane, which they later denied in the post-race interviews. Regardless, Jones went on to win on track and the time sheets, while Allerton and Maxwell finished second and third following a hard-fought scrap for position (fifth and sixth on track). Fourth in race two was Herfoss ahead of Stauffer in fifth, while Condon, William Davidson (Yamaha) and Evan Byles (Kawasaki) were the final finishers. Earlier, Matt Walters led the initial race after making his way by Allerton on lap five, but was almost immediately sidelined by a mechanical on the same lap. The overall podium was made up of Allerton, Maxwell and Herfoss, the latter maintaining a three-point lead over Maxwell in the standings.

YRD Supersport race three:
The third and final Supersport race of the round saw Olson victorious, ending Spriggs’ perfect weekend with a 0.372s win over series leader Elliott and Guenther, who in turn held out Spriggs for position. Presepio got the better of Levy in the final stages for fifth, with Mitchell and Young close in tow. The top 10 was rounded out by Buckley and Cambridge Olivier (Yamaha). Disaster struck title threat Blair on the warm-up lap, going down at turn one and effectively ruled out of the race as a result. Overall Spriggs managed to hold on for the round win by a single point from Olson, with Guenther rounding out the podium. The championship still sees Elliott at the front, 10 points ahead of Spriggs.
