Unsung performers from the Queensland Raceway round.

CycleOnline.com.au highlights three standout performances from the weekend’s fourth round of the 2015 FX-ASC at Queensland Raceway. Radar isn’t intended to be strictly about the winners, it’s about the unsung racers that we spot performing above expectations on any given race weekend.

William Davidson (YRD / Thomas Brothers Yamaha) – Superbike, 7th overall:
With the current Superbike field full of top-line riders, you’ve got to hand it to privateer William Davidson on his Yamaha YZF-R1. While many are seemingly steering away from taking on the factory might, Davidson continues to chip away at the premier class and was rewarded with a solid seventh overall in Queensland via a 10-7 scorecard.

Jay Presepio (Race Center / YRD / Northern Motorcycles Yamaha) – Supersport, 5th overall:
The Victorian rising talent has been gaining strength in recent rounds and really came on strong at Queensland Raceway in one of the deepest Supersport fields we’ve seen in some time. Logging 6-4-5 results on Sunday for fifth overall, Presepio’s day was highlighted by setting the fastest lap in race two.

Luke Mitchell (JNL Racing / YRD Yamaha) – Supersport, 6th overall:
Like Presepio, Mitchell is another youthful Yamaha Racing Development (YRD) rider constantly learning his craft and the results are beginning to show. We’re starting to see Micthell challenge the front-runners more and more, resulting in 7-8-7 finishes over the weekend.
