Verdict:
In a thrilling final round of the 2015 season, aired live on Fox Sports, Troy Herfoss scraped home by a single point to be crowned the new champion. He defeated outgoing champion Wayne Maxwell, who put up a massive fight from eighth on the grid in a bid to cling onto the title, but it wasn’t to be. And for Herfoss, the title delivers Team Honda Racing back-to-back double championships (also winning the FX-Superbikes title a day prior). The series went down to Herfoss and Maxwell, but the round was all about Mike Jones as he won two races for the overall. The first bout when to a rejuvenated Jamie Stauffer, but following that Jones took his turn at the front for the overall. And there were plenty of others in the mix as well – Glenn Allerton, Cru Halliday, Matt Walters and Ben Burke right there amongst the front-runners.

Verdict:
After a full season of competition it’s incredible to think that Callum Spriggs and Brayden Elliott tied for the title. Of course, Spriggs won the championship on countback due to having more wins, which was disappointing for Elliott since he actually scored more points over the course of the full seven rounds (support categories drop their worst rounds). But that’s the way it is and Spriggs is a truly deserving champ in his own right – also winning the FX series the day before. Michael Blair, Elliott and young gun Troy Guenther all won a race apiece in Sydney on Saturday, which indicates the closeness of this class, and they’ve produced epic racing all year long.
