Pirelli riders dominate ASBK Supersport 600 and R3 Cup at Sydney Motorsport Park

Link International press release:

Pirelli riders have taken the round wins in the Supersport 600, R3 Cup and Up to 300 Production classes at Sydney Motorsport Park. In a mixture of conditions including wet races for all classes on the Sunday afternoon, Pirelli proved to be the treaded tyre of choice for the hotly contested Supersport and production classes, filled with privateer riders.

In the new R3 Cup class, it was a Pirelli 1-2 for the round with Cullum Anderson 1st, followed by Zac Levey in 2nd. With the new Diablo Supercorsa 110/70-17 and 140/70-17 showing the way, as well as the debut of the new Diablo Rain 140/70-17 size used to full effect taking a race win when the race conditions required it.

The Up to 300 class saw the same Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa domination, with a clean sweep of the overall results with Drew Sells 1st, followed by Justin Hall and Samuel Condon all choosing to race on Pirelli.

In the Support 600 class, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa again showed the way, with a Pirelli 1-2-3 in the overall results with Mitch Levey 1st, followed by Callum Spriggs 2nd and Sam Clarke 3rd. The riders in this class used Diablo Supercorsa front 120/70ZR-17 in SC1 , while on the rear the most common choice was the Diablo Supercorsa 180/60ZR-17 SC1, with some riders also opting for the 190/60-17 SCX rear. In the rain, the choice was Diablo Rain 120/70R-17 and 190/60R-17 rear. Pirelli riders took both race wins, with many riders choosing Pirelli throughout the field and working with our race technicians for their best results.

In the Superbike class, Pirelli rider Mike Jones also finished the weekend on the podium in 3rd place, choosing Diablo Superbike SCX front and SC0 rear ahead of Jamie Stauffer and Troy Herfoss for 3-4-5 results in this class for Pirelli.

In Club Challenge 600, Pirelli rider Ben O’Connor also leads the points after round 3, using Pirelli Diablo Superbike tyres 120/70R-17 and 180/60R-17.
