Kiwi Bruce Anstey turned his first laps aboard the Valvoline Racing/Padgetts Honda RC213V-S MotoGP machine at the Isle of Man TT on Monday, quickly settling into the replica race bike.

Anstey began the Superbike session on board the proven CBR1000RR before quickly switching to the MotoGP entry, quickest through the speed-trap at 193.4mph during just a couple of laps.

Eventually Anstey recorded a hugely-impressive 127.071mph lap in 17m48.916s, well within sight of Tyco BMW-mounted Ian Hutchinson’s session-leading lap of 129.964mph around the Mountain Course.
