MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship titans Leon Haslam and Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne claimed a win apiece at the fourth round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Knockhill in an incredible pair of races.

In the opening dry race at the Scottish circuit Haslam served up his third victory of the season after an intense fight for the win with Honda Racing’s Dan Linfoot, while Luke Mossey (Quattro Plant Teccare Kawasaki) completed the podium.

Race two saw Be Wiser Ducat’s Byrne bounce back from an opening race crash to win ahead of James Ellison (JG Speedfit Kawasaki) and Dan Linfoot (Honda Racing). Opening race winner Haslam crossed the line sixth.

Honda Racing’s Jason O’Halloran enjoyed a consistent weekend on his way to 9-5 results, while BSB first-timer Josh Hook (WD-40 Kawasaki) had a consistent run to 18th in race one and 16th in the second.

In Supersport it was a top weekend for Benjamin Currie (Yamaha), winning the Sprint race and backing that up with a fourth in the Feature. Countryman Levi Day (Kawasaki) went 23-DNF.
