Repsol Honda Team’s Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa have remained in Spain for a one day test at the Motorland Aragon circuit following a successful grand prix last weekend.

Marquez, who is coming off a convincing victory, and Pedrosa who captured a thrilling win at the previous round in Misano, used their final testing session of their five-day allowance prior to a series of flyaway races, which will see them contest three grand prix’s on consecutive weekends.

The pair refined settings on their current 2016 Honda RC213V race bikes, while also continuing testing on their factory machines for the 2017 season.

The Repsol Honda Team will now head to Twin Ring Motegi for the Japanese grand prix on 16 October, marking Honda’s home round of the prestigious world championship.

Marquez sits atop of the championship standings with a 52-point advantage over Movistar Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi, while Pedrosa currently holds fourth behind defending MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha).
