2017 Australian Superbike Championship calendar announced

The 2017 Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) calendar has been finalised by Motorcycling Australia, poised to be expanding to an increased seven-round schedule in the new season.

Next year will once again commence alongside the Superbike World Championship opener at Phillip Island on 23-26 February, the Victorian circuit book-ending the year with a standalone round on 6-8 October.

In between the series will continue to visit Wakefield Park Raceway, Winton Motor Raceway, Morgan Park and Sydney Motorsport Park. The June round to be confirmed is understood to be penciled in as Barbagallo Raceway, however bikes are currently suspended at the Western Australian venue.

The ASBK organisers have also indicated television will continue into the 2017 season, as MA build upon the moment gained this year. Further information and announcements are due to be released in the coming weeks.

Rd3 – 28-30 April – Winton, VIC
Rd4 – June – TBC

Rd6 – 8-10 September – Sydney Motorsport Park, NSW
Rd7 – 6-8 October – Phillip Island, VIC
