Superbike predictions
First:
Cru Halliday – Winton is a circuit that Halliday performs particularly well at, picking up his first Superbike win there in race one last season and then finishing on the podium overall. He was quick last time out at Wakefield Park and topped the recent test, so chances are with his confidence high he will put it together for an overall on Sunday.
Second:
Troy Herfoss – We saw Herfoss clinch the championship at Winton last season via the Superpole, race two win and overall in what was a memorable weekend for the Crankt Protein Honda Racing rider. If Halliday puts one foot wrong, Herfoss will be right there to stake his claim.
Third:
Daniel Falzon – Championship leader Falzon will almost certainly be in the mix on Sunday, but whether or not he can go ahead and repeat his success of Phillip Island is up in the air. Race two at Wakefield showed he’s a legitimate contender on multiple circuits and he was fast at the test, so don’t discount him for the win.
Watch for:
Wayne Maxwell, Bryan Staring, Josh Waters, Robbie Bugden, Josh Hook
