Ducati’s lead Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) contender Chaz Davies spent time aboard a factory Desmosedici GP17 at Mugello this week, directly following his sweep of the Imola round.

Davies, 30, has been linked to a seat at Pramac Racing in grand prix racing, however it’s understood his MotoGP laps at Mugello were a reward of sorts for dominating the Italian round of WorldSBK.

There’s not been any information released on how Davies performed at this point, the test that took place alongside Aruba.it Racing Ducati teammate Marco Melandri, who rode the Panigale R WorldSBK race bike in the single-day affair.
