Recall of KTM 125 Duke and KTM 390 Duke models

KTM Australia press release:

Valid for all markets except USA and Canada

Thursday 16th June 2017: KTM recalls 125 DUKE and 390 DUKE models of model year 2017 to the workshops of authorized KTM dealers in order to receive a software update for the LED headlight.

During the internal endurance testing, KTM experienced some cases of sporadic reboots of the LED headlight. As this may lead to potentially dangerous riding situations, the software of the headlight needs to be updated as soon as possible.

Customers of affected and already distributed motorcycles are being informed by a personal letter and are asked to immediately contact an authorized KTM dealer to arrange an appointment. In addition, customers can check online in the “Service” area on the KTM website if their motorcycle is affected by the recall.

The software update of the LED headlight can be carried out by authorized KTM dealers only. This check is a guarantee that is completely free of charge.

The recall information is also available on the Australian product safety website with the following link: https://www.productsafety.gov.au/recall/ktm-australia-ktm-motorcycle-390-duke-2017-model
