The Ninja 400, Ninja H2 SX SE, Z900RS and Z900RS Café took the limelight when they were unveiled at the recent 2017 Sydney Motorcycle Show!

More than 45 Kawasaki motorcycles were being displayed at the event, each attracting a sizable amount of attention however it was the all-new Kawasaki motorcycles that were constantly being touched, sat on and photographed by the public.

The motorcycle that has been coined as the ultimate Sport Tourer, the supercharged Ninja H2 SX SE was dazzling under the spotlights of the International Convention Centre. The Special Edition (SE) variant will be the only version distributed in Australia at this stage and it is fitted with all of the creature comforts, including panniers, a centre stand, cornering lights, and cruise control to compliment the supercharged engine that offers output stronger in the low to mid revs than the Ninja H2.

The Ninja H2 SX SE is also packed with Kawasaki’s latest Inertia Measurement Unit (IMU) equipped electronics package, making it the motorcycle that will change your touring experience.

The Ninja 400 is set to take the Australian LAMS market by storm, featuring a new and powerful 399cc engine, less weight than its predecessor (Ninja 300), an enormous front brake disc that is the same size of the Ninja ZX-14R brake discs, an Assist and Slipper Clutch and all priced competitively at only a slightly higher RRP than the Ninja 300 (pricing TBC).

If admiration of the Z900RS and Z900RS Café was an Olympic sport, there would be thousands of gold medallists at the 2017 Sydney Motorcycle Show. Inspired by the 1972 Kawasaki Z1, the Z900RS and the Café version mark Kawasaki’s long awaited entry into the Retro Sport category.

An exquisite attention to detail in the finish of the products contributes to a high quality appearance that takes ques from the classic Z1, while technology such as traction control, an Assist and Slipper clutch and LCD display gives the Z900RS and Café variant authority amongst modern motorcycles.

To celebrate our entry into the Retro Sport market with the Z900RS, Kawasaki Motors Australia commissioned the services of clothing label, Deus Ex Machina to modify two units and show the world what this modern take on a classic legend could become with a Deus spin. Director of Design, Jeremy Tagand made an appearance to be interviewed and answer questions about the custom project units which were embraced by onlookers.

Kawasaki BCperformance Racing Team Manager, Kelvin Reilly and rookie Ninja ZX-10R Superbike pilot, Kyle Buckley also made an appearance at the show. The duo mingled with the public and found delight in conversing about the BCperformance Ninja ZX-10R on display, which at the helm of Robby Bugden, was only points away from the 2017 Australian Superbike Championship lead at one stage.

Kawasaki also exhibited the world’s fastest mass produced stand-up personal watercraft, the Jet Ski SX-R, along with the other Kawasaki family groups including, the KX motocross range, Z naked bikes, Ninja sports motorcycles, KLX trail range, MULE Side by Sides, Bruteforce ATVs, and Versys touring models.

Alongside the most popular motorcycles at the show was an official goods outlet where Kawasaki owners and enthusiasts were satisfying themselves with quality Kawasaki merchandise and apparel.

The next substantial Kawasaki display will be at the first round of the 2018 World Superbike Championship, where 3 time reigning world champion, Jonathan Rea will kick start his championship title defence aboard the formidable Kawasaki Racing Team Ninja ZX-10RR.
