Coxhell is feeling strong for this weekend after testing in Queensland.

After a slightly slow start to the season, Demolition Plus GAS Honda’s Craig Coxhell has built his 2011 Australian Superbike Championship campaign on consistency.

Admittedly struggling with bike setup in the early stages of the championship, Coxhell feels they have made improvements and is confident in his machine.

“We’ve been moving forward consistently since Darwin,” said Coxhell.

“We made some gains with a new suspension setup and it yielded some good results in Perth so we’re looking forward to improving even more this weekend.”

After recent testing at Queensland Raceway, the site of round five of the series, the 2003 Australian Superbike Champion is ready to lay down a solid result.

“Our test at Queensland Raceway was positive and we took a lot from it,” Coxhell commented.

“My best lap was in traffic and it was as quickest as the fastest lap last year which was positive.”

“The floods earlier in the year seem to have made the bumps in turn 2 even rougher so it will be important to get that right to get a good run onto the back straight.”

Coxhell currently sits fourth in the Australian Superbike Championship, six points in tow of third place rider Ben Attard, and 55 points off series leader Glen Allerton.
