Morris takes race one win during Sydney's fifth Supersport round

Aaron Morris continued his form with the opening Supersport race victory at Sydney Motorsport Park’s round five of the Australian Superbike Championship.

Morris (Maxima Yamaha / Ohlins / Arrow / Pirelli / RK Bell / Alpinestars) won his second race in succession by 0.31s over Aiden Wagner (YRD / XXX Rated Suspension / Wagner Soil Testing Yamaha), who posted the fastest race lap of 1m32.776.

South Australian Daniel Falzon (Catterpillar EPSA / Yamaha) was also in the mix for victory throughout the 12-lap affair, eventually finishing 3.676s off Morris. He narrowly edged out Callum Spriggs (YRD / Allsite Concrete Cutting / XXX Rated Suspensions Yamaha).

Completing the top five in the opening race was Queensland round winner Michael Blair (YRD / Blair Build / M & C Plant / Campbells Building Materials Yamaha).

Race two is scheduled for 3:10pm this afternoon.
