Australian Josh Hook will finish off the Valencia race weekend in Moto2, replacing team regular Dominique Aegerter at Technomag Racing Interwetten as he continues to recover from injury.

Aegerter was 28th on his return from injury and just 0.001s behind the pace of his teammate Robin Mulhauser in 27th, but he was forced to withdraw from the GP after FP2 due to the pain from his injuries and will be replaced by Hook for the rest of the weekend.

Hook filled in for Aegerter – who he partnered to second at the Suzuka 8 Hours earlier this year – at Motegi, Phillip Island and Malaysia, travelling to Valencia on standby in case Aegerter was unable to race.
