Domestic Supersport regular Scarcella heading to WorldSSP

Another Australian prospect taking the place of Wagner.

Team Lorini Honda has drafted in another youthful Australian in Giuseppe Scarcella to complete the 2017 Supersport World Championship (WorldSSP).

Countryman Aiden Wagner recently separated from the Italian team, in which Scarcella will join from this weekend’s Imola round of the series.

Scarcella has vast experience aboard CBR600RR locally, however this season he’s been riding a Kawasaki in Australian Supersport. He’s currently P15 in the standings, with a best finish of second in race one at Wakefield Park.

The move marks a return to Europe of sorts for Scarcella, who contested the KTM European Junior Cup in 2012 and claimed 11th in the standings.
