BCperformance Junior Team talent heading to Spain this month.
New Australian Supersport Up To 300 class champion Reid Battye will contest the upcoming Jerez round of the World Supersport 300 Championship in Spain.
Landscapesupplies.com.au-supported BCperformance Junior Team regular Battye won the title with a round to spare this season and is now set to take on the world stage.
“I’ve been lucky enough to score a ride for the World Supersport 300 class for the final round in Jerez,” 16-year-old Battye said. “I’m pretty nervous with the pressure of heading over there. This is a great opportunity however and I can’t wait to get over there and compete.
“It’s going to be a surreal moment to be in a world championship paddock and it’s going to offer valuable experience. It will of course be a similar machine, but with the slightly different specifications required for that championship. I really want to try and build a solid rapport with the team and adapt as best as I can.”
Battye will join the Kawasaki Italy Grimaldi Racing Team BWG on a Ninja 300 in Spain on 20-22 October. His international experience has been extensive in 2017, also taking part in the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup this year.
