Next Gen has uncovered a new fluro green and black livery for Glenn Allerton’s BMW.

Next Gen Motorsports have revealed a standout new look for Glenn Allerton’s BMW challenger that will take on round 12 of the World Superbike Championship at Laguna Seca on 27-29 September.

The Superbike is dressed in matte black and features lashings of fluro green to match the corporate identity of its primary backer for the exercise, Zoom Recrcuitment.

Aside from a cosmetic makeover, the bike has re-built with a host of new parts and lightened through a generous application of carbon fibre.

Next Gen crew chief Shane Kinderis has invested countless hours of effort to build the bike to WSBK-spec in readiness for freight to the United States next Monday.

Allerton said he was particularly pleased with the result and looked forward to rolling the bike out on track in late September.

“The guys have put in a lot of work and come up with a design that I think looks awesome,” said Allerton. “Nathan from Zoom Recruitment has had a lot of input into this project and the fluro green and black – Zoom’s corporate colours – look great on the BMW.

“There’s no question it looks good, now it’s up to me to do the business!”

Allerton said the bike was near completion and only had a new gearbox to be fitted once it arrived at its American destination.

“Most of the things we needed have come together,” he said. “We’ve got a kit radiator now, and we’re just waiting on the kit gearbox which will be fitted in America.

“There’s a lot more carbon on the bike, including a carbon subframe. The bike’s a lot lighter, and has a lot more horsepower.

“I’m really looking forward to getting over there to what will be a pretty even playing-field. I raced there last year in the AMA and not a lot of the World guys will have raced the track, which is an advantage.”

Allerton and the Next Gen Motorsports’ team’s immediate focus is this week’s fourth and fifth rounds of the Australian Superbike Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park, where they’re aiming to defend a current points lead from Team Suzuki’s Wayne Maxwell.
