Rossi successfully completes further evaluation at Misano

After yesterday’s session was cut short due to poor weather, Valentino Rossi returned to the Misano circuit in Italy today to complete a further evaluation of his injured leg sustained in an enduro accident last month.

The MotoGP ace was only able to complete a handful of laps in the previous session, however today he logged a total of 20 laps aboard a Yamaha YZF-R1M superbike in a private two-hour session.

It’s understood the nine-time world champion wrapped up this second day of testing with an improved feeling and a more positive impression compared to the initial test.

The Movistar Yamaha rider is still decide whether he’ll line-up at this weekend’s Aragon grand prix in Spain, with a decision slated to be determined today.

If the likeable Italian opts out of the weekend’s 14th stop, Yamaha’s WorldSBK rider Michael van der Mark will fulfil his position on the factory machine.
