Provisional 2018 MotoAmerica calendar revealed

The MotoAmerica Championship has unveiled a provisional outline of its calendar for the 2018 season of racing, which will see handful of changes.

The 2018 series will kick-off at Road Atlanta on 13-15 April, while the second edition will see the championship join forces with the prestigious MotoGP World Championship at Circuit of the Americas.

Virginia International Raceway in Virginia will play host to round three of the series on 4-6 May, before the series takes a month off, resuming with the traditional 1-3 June date for Road America in Wisconsin.

The series will again join up with the World Superbike Championship (WorldSBK) at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on a date still to be announced, and will stay out west for round six at Utah Motorsports Campus in Utah on 20-22 July, as round seven is pencilled in for 9-12 August at Sonoma Raceway in California.

Then the 2018 championship will then head east for the final three races at Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Pennsylvania, then New Jersey Motorsports Park in New Jersey, and the season finale at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama on 21-23 September.

Rd9 – 7-9 September – New Jersey Raceway Park, Millville, New Jersey
Rd10 – 21-23 September – Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham, Alabama
