As the temperature was slightly cooling down towards the end of the day, the teams went for the second qualifying round of the 8 Hours of Albacete. Michelin Power Research Team confirms and took the pole position, largely due to Ivan Silva, who signed a 1’31.407. On the Yamaha Austria Racing Team, Gwen Giabbani went for a last-ditch battle and signed a 1’31.991 but this was not enough to take the first place on the starting grid. BK Maco Moto Racing Team took a fantastic third place with a very homogenous team of riders, Jason Pridmore, Dani Ribalta and Victor Carrasco. The Slovak Yamaha leads the Italian Yamaha of Amadeus X-One, who could improve their starting position with a very good second session of Paolo Tessari and Ayrton Badovini.

Despite their very good trio of riders, Folch Endurance could not do better than a fifth place, maybe because they lack of track time in Endurance. Folch leads the Team 18 Sapeurs Pompiers on Suzuki, the Yamaha Phase One Endurance, the Suzuki RT Racing Team, the Honda RMT 21 Racing Team Germany, who recruited Diego Lozano to support Matti Seidel and Olivier Depoorter, the Kawasaki Bolliger Switzerland, the Suzuki AM Moto Racing Competition who is finding their mark at Albacete and the Suzuki MCS Racing Ipone.
