AMA SBK: Holland to make AMA Superbike debut this weekend

Australian Russell Holland will make his debut in the AMA Superbike Championship this weekend, entered on a privateer Yamaha YZF-R1 for the Mid-Ohio round of the series in the American Superbike class.

Holland will join the series to make him the fifth Aussie racing in the U.S, joining Mat Mladin, Aaron Gobert, Damian Cudlin and David Anthony in the new-look AMA Pro Racing series.

The Mid-Ohio round sees the return to racing for Holland, who started the season in the Supersport World Championship for the CRS Honda team before losing his seat to Michael Laverty just a couple of races ago.
