Oz SX: Danny Anderson and JDR split heading into Super X

JDR MOTORSPORTS:

Following an impressive debut into the premier series of Australian Motocross, MXRAD-backed JDR Motorsports and Pro Lites rider, Danny Anderson have gone in separate directions in the lead-up to Super X 2009.

After a season full of mixed results, both Anderson and JDR were left with decisions to make at the conclusion of the MX Nationals, which wrapped up in Coolum, Qld a fortnight ago – ultimately ending with ‘Digsy’ moving away from the JDR camp and towards a different direction for the remainder of 2009 and into 2010.

“I’m just going to sit back and take a look at my options now, ultimately it was my decision to leave, I know I struggled personally and with the bike this year, so now I’ll just look towards Super X and 2010,” said Anderson about the split.

Backing-up a stella effort in last year’s MX Nationals and Super X, Anderson could not find the rhythm he maintained through 2009, finishing 15th in the Pro Lites series this year. However, he was thankful to the JDR crew.

“I do have to thank JDR Motorsports for giving me a shot this year and backing me for the entire season,” added Anderson.

JDR were also just as thankful toward Anderson and are looking toward bigger things following the unanimous split.

“We are appreciative of Danny’s effort this year and enjoyed having him on-board. We wanted to give ‘Digs’ [Anderson] the opportunity to make his own decisions – based on his season – and, as such, he has decided to pursue his own goals. Although this terminated his contract early, we were more than happy to pay out the remainder of his contract. On behalf of JDR Motorsports, we’d like to wish him all the best in his future paths,” said JDR Team Manager, Jay Rynenberg.

JDR Motorsports will now continue preparations in the lead up to Super X 2009, which kicks off in Melbourne on October 17. For more information about JDR Motorsports, log onto www.jdrmotorsports.com.au
