AMA MX: Grant to return this weekend for JGR at Budds Creek

MX SPORTS PRO RACING:

Just three weeks after a crash at the X Games left him on the sidelines, JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha’s Josh Grant will make a remarkable return to the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship. In a late announcement from the Joe Gibbs Racing team, Grant will compete at the Monster Energy Motocross National, Round 10 of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship from Budds Creek MX Park.

The race is the third and final round of the Monster Energy Triple Crown of Motocross in which Grant won the last event at RedBud in July. The injury to both his ankles fortunately did not require surgery, but forced Grant to miss the last race at Unadilla. Prior to the injury, he sat second in the 450 Class standings and hopes to reclaim that position over the final three races.

“Josh is attempting to come back and race much sooner than expected and we are hoping for the best,” stated JGRMX Team Manager Jeremy Albrecht. “We shall see how things go tomorrow morning in practice, and he will make the final call after circulating his first sessions.”

Fans can catch live video feed of the first motos in each of the three classes streaming on the internet at www.allisports.com.
