James ‘Bubba’ Stewart has officially registered for the last four races of the 2010 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships, according to MX Sports.

After much speculation, it was confirmed this morning that the San Manuel Yamaha rider will be on board his #7 bike for the remainder of the season.

The much-anticipated return of Stewart will begin on 14 August in New Berlin, New York, at the Rockstar Energy Drink Unadilla National.

After recovering from a wrist injury sustained early in the SX season, Stewart will return to the Outdoor Nationals for the first time since 2008.

His debut will be highly anticipated as he jumps into the season where 450-class rookie Ryan Dungey holds a 95-point lead over the field and is currently on a seven-race win streak.

Stewart last raced the series in 2008 when he completed the rare perfect season, winning all 24 motos on the circuit and taking home the championship.

The battle set for the last four nationals in 2010 will be intense as Stewart seeks to add to his legacy in the sport while Dungey aims to dispel rumors that his domination is a result of the absence of Stewart for so much of the year.

Be sure to tune in to allisports.com/motocross at 1:00pm (local time) on 14 August to catch their first moto battle live via webcast. Australian fans will then be able to catch live action of Moto #2 on FUEL TV on FOXTEL.
