MotoOnline.com.au was on location in Frankston, Victoria, yesterday to test Suzuki’s heavily revised 2011 model RM-Z250 and 450.

Editor Alex Gobert attended a private test at Frankston motocross complex with Suzuki Australia representatives, putting in laps to produce the test, shoot images and also film for an upcoming video for the site to be uploaded over the coming weeks.

Highlights on the range include revised suspension settings to make them more compliant over this year’s models, as well as updated ECU settings, quieter exhausts, and a variety of revisions for greater durability and easier maintenance.

Also featured on the 250 is new intake and exhaust cam timing, a reshaped kick-starter and improved lubrication of the clutch.

The 450’s compression ratio has been increased from 12.2 to 12.5, also receiving revised cam timing. Optional couplers come with the bike to change the EFI carburation setting.

Stay tuned for the Full Test of the RM-Z250 to be uploaded on Friday before the 450 test and video from the outing will be coming soon.
