New Cougar Bourbon Honda Racing signing Kade Mosig believes a podium is possible in Canberra’s second round of the Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, after scoring a solid fourth at round one last weekend.

Mosig made a mid-season switch back to Honda for the Super X signing, becoming the team’s sole Pro Lites contender alongside Open stars Dan Reardon and Todd Waters.

“I’m feeling good, fourth last week but just riding conservative,” he said. “I set myself a goal just to finish in the top five in the first round, so I’m off to a good start and now we’ll try to improve on that.

“My team has built me an awesome bike and I’m really happy to be back with them. My best results have come on a Honda, so I’m back where I’m comfortable and back where I feel is at home.”

Mosig has been working alongside former racer Brent Landman as his trainer in the lead-up to Super X, confident that his effort off the track will help him contend in the Triple Header format tonight.

“Brent’s been pushing me really hard every week and I’ve had a good off-season, so I’m ready to go.”
