Aragon test has Aussie Supersport hope Parkes confident for Misano round this weekend

Parkes is feeling fit and confident going into Misano this weekend.

After a break in the World Superport series after round five at Monza, Broc Parkes and the Provec Motocard.com WSS team have used the time to test at the Motorland Aragon circuit in Spain, which will host round seven of the series.

Track time at the circuit has obviously increased the confidence levels for round seven, however the team also made improvements to the bike which has Parkes looking forward to round six at Misano.

“We had a good break from racing and then a good test at Aragon where we got to try lots of things on the bike. We worked on a few different suspension and engine settings so we had quite a lot to test,” Parkes commented.

The break in the series has seen Parkes stay active, using cross training to stay fresh, and he says he is feeling confident coming into Misano.

“I have been staying in Barcelona with the team for a while, doing a lot of Supermoto riding and motocross, just keeping active. I feel 100% again now and I have been doing a lot of cycling and training,” Parkes added.

“I really like Misano, I’ve had some good results there in the past and I love this time of year when summer is really starting in Europe.”

Parkes currently sits third in the World Supersport, only ten points behind the joint leaders, as the series heads into round six this weekend.
