QBE extends sponsorship of Australian motorcycle exhibitions

QBE has extended its long-standing relationship with Exhibitions and Trade Fairs (ETF), confirming its sponsorship of the 2011 Sydney Motorcycle and Scooter Show and the 2012 Australian Motorcycle Expo events on the Gold Coast and in Melbourne.

An integral part of the industry, QBE is a proactive supporter of motorcyclists and has contributed significantly to the expansion of ETF’s two-wheel showcase events.

“QBE is proud to once again present the 2011 Sydney Motorcycle and Scooter Show, the 2012 Australian Motorcycle Expo Gold Coast and 2012 Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne,” said Michael Gallagher, QBE national manager, motorcycles.

“We have had an ongoing relationship with ETF for many years and have been the major sponsor of the exhibitions since 2005.

“We are excited about presenting these upcoming events and look forward to what they have to offer.”

With aligning demographics, the sponsorship provides mutual benefits for QBE and ETF.

“QBE delivers a quality service and provides us with a partnership that is both relevant and suited to our visitors,” said Mark Petersen, Sydney Motorcycle and Scooter Show and Australian Motorcycle Expo event manager.

“They have a great understanding of the market and have a strong presence at our shows through way of an innovative and interesting exhibit and enthusiastic staff.

“We look forward to their involvement at the Sydney, Gold Coast and Melbourne events over the next 18 months.”

The Sydney Motorcycle and Scooter Show moves from the Sydney Olympic Park to the harbourside Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in 2011, bringing with it extra emphasis on the benefits of motorcycles and scooters for commuting and CBD transport.

The show will be run from Friday, 25 November, to Sunday, 27 November, with the aim of offering visitors the most comprehensive range of new motorcycles and scooters plus a wide range of exhibits from accessory and industry service providers.

Over 90 percent of exhibition space has now sold, indicating that this year’s event will be the largest ever.

The multi-faceted Australian Motorcycle Expo Gold Coast event in February 2012 will showcase a complete outdoor leisure lifestyle with the inclusion of the Australian Scooter Festival and Australian Personal WaterCraft Show.
