Aussie Mark Aitchison is looking for a pair of consistent races on Sunday at Silverstone.

Australian Mark AItchison is determined to increase his consistency when the Superbike World Championship heads to Silverstone in the UK this weekend.

Aitchison has impressed aboard the privateer Pedercini Kawasaki in 2011 as a rookie WSBK contender, but has struggled with consistency over a race distance in the first half of the year.

“Since finishing Brno I have been looking forward to coming back to race in the UK,” he explained. “The new Silverstone layout was great fun to ride last year and I am sure the track will provide close racing once again.

“In the Czech Republic my team worked hard to dial in a new clutch and this is one area we will have to continue to develop in Friday free practice.

“I’m also really motivated to continue to work with our bike settings in the search for more race consistency and better tyre wear, as I believe this can help us be a lot more competitive.

“The Silverstone circuit has some long and fast straights so another area to focus upon will be our bike’s speed.”
