Team Honda Racing sweeps dramatic weekend alongside the V8 Supercars at the Paperclip.
Team Honda Racing’s Jamie Stauffer has bounced back for a stunning second race victory at Queensland Raceway’s sixth round of the QBE Australian Superbike Championship.
Stauffer lead all 14 laps from pole position in a dominant performance, however he had 2009 champion Josh Waters on his tail for almost the entire duration.
Team Suzuki’s Waters finished 2.262 seconds in arrears of Stauffer, while i-Style The Natural Aprilia Racing’s Ben Attard was another six seconds behind in third after challenging in the opening laps.
Completing the top five was Glenn Allerton (Procon Maxima Racing BMW) and yesterday’s winner Wayne Maxwell (Team Honda Racing).
Fifth was good enough for Maxwell to win the round overall from Allerton and Attard, while Waters was fourth overall.
Stauffer wound up the weekend eighth overall after crashing out of yesterday’s opening race.
Allerton now leads the championship by 67 points over Stauffer, who’s tied with Attard for second in the championship.
Top Prostock finisher was again Linden Magee for Coastline Motorrad BMW in 11th overall, edging out Brodie Waters after a race-long battle with the Team Suzuki contender.
