Australian Superbike Champion Bryan Staring says he’s satisfied with 11th position at the Magny-Cours round of the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup.

The Pedercini Kawasaki rider is in the final stages of his maiden season in Europe, enjoying a tight tussle with fellow Kawasaki riders in a bid for the top 10 on Sunday.

“My start was pretty fast but in the first laps I fought with a lot of riders and in particular with Antonelli and we passed each other many times,” Staring reflected.

“I’m happy with the race despite the fact that I made contact with Savadori on my final lap and my teammate Bussolotti passed me.

“In any case I’m satisfied with my 11th place and I want to thank my technicians because my bike today was working very well.”

Staring is poised to remain with the Italian-based Pedercini Kawasaki team in Superstock for another season in 2012.
