No less than 10 Australian riders will be on hand participating in the Phillip Island round of the MotoGP, Moto2 and 125GP world championships this weekend.

Damian Cudlin is the latest Aussie to secure a ride for the 2011 IVECO Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island, expanding the local contingent to a whopping 10 riders.

After impressing on his MotoGP debut in Japan last weekend, Cudlin was sort out by the Mapfre Aspar Ducati Team to replace the injured Hector Barbera, making for a memorable homecoming.

Joining the Taree-native in the premier class will be Repsol Honda star man Casey Stoner, with the Aussie eager to wrap up his second World Championship at the Island.

Stoner currently holds a 40-point lead over closest rival Jorge Lorenzo, with three rounds remaining.

Ant West will head Australia’s charge in the Moto2 field, with the MZ Racing star to be joined by Wildcards Blake Leigh-Smith and Kris McLaren.

Caretta KTM Technology rider Jack Miller will lead a troupe of five locals eager to make an impression in the Moto125 class.

The 2011 German 125GP Champion will be joined by wild card quartet Josh Hook, Nicky Diles, Tom Hatton and Alex Phillis for the three days of racing.

The 2011 IVECO Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix takes place this weekend, 14-16 October at Phillip Island.
