Honda supporting new-look ASBK 250 Production Class for next year

2012 will see Honda’s CBR250R take to the ASBK track in the newly announced 250cc Production class.

Offering riders aged 16 and over the chance to compete in an Australian championship class, the new 250cc Production class will be run over four rounds, two each in Queensland and Victoria.

Honda’s CBR250R with its all-new 249.4mm single-cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel-injected engine is the perfect competitor.

The CBR250R’s single-cylinder configuration makes for a lighter, more compact and more fuel-efficient powerplant that also boasts a supremely usable torque curve.

This truly versatile 250cc sportsbike boasts unbeatable manoeuvrability which is further enhanced by its perfect chassis balance offering agile handling.

To celebrate this exciting addition to the already competitive QBE ASBK series Honda Australia will be offering contingency to those competing on the Honda CBR250R.

With the grand prize of a CBR600RR up for grabs if the championship winner is riding a CBR250R, Honda will also offer $500 for 1st, $450 for 2nd, $400 for 3rd, $350 for 4th, $300 for 5th and $250 for 6th per round* of the 2012 series to Honda CBR250R riders.

The Honda CBR250R retails competitively at $5,490 (MLP for non-ABS) and is available from Honda dealerships nationally.
