Ducati's 1199 Panigale broke cover at the Sydney Motorcycle Show over the weekend.

Direct from EICMA in Milan just a few weeks ago, the Ducati 1199 Panigale has made its first Australian appearance at the Sydney Motorcycle and Scooter Show over the weekend.

With an additional 25 horsepower and 10kg lighter than the current 1198 as well as a suite of cutting-edge electronic performance, comfort and safety technology including Ride Modes, Power modes, RbW, selectable ABS, DES, DTC, EBC, DQS and DDA+/GPS, the 1199 Panigale is a complete game changer for the sports bike market and a clear draw card for all those attending the show.

Australian pricing has already been announced for the three model variants:
1199 Panigale ABS $26,990
1199 Panigale S ABS $33,990
1199 Panigale S Tricolore ABS $39,990

RRP includes GST but excludes dealer and statutory charges.

Interested customers are urged to register their interest at their local Authorised Ducati dealer with first deliveries anticipated from late April 2012.

The 2012 model lineup is set to be quite exciting with the introduction not only of the new 1199 Panigale but also with the Diavel Chromo, 848 EVO Corse Edition, Diavel AMG and Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak.

Ducati’s new exhibition look has been a year in the making. Working alongside Melbourne based Earl Brand Space, the new Ducati stand has been created for show goers to truly enjoy and interact with Ducati and the 17 motorcycles on display.

Also on display were a number of accessorised models including an adventure orientated Multistrada 1200 S Touring in new Titanium colour, a Diavel Carbon with Termignoni exhaust and a Valentino Rossi “46” Monster Art Kit fitted to a Leaner Legal Monster 659.
