A focus on physical fitness and preparation has Aussie rider Nick Waters confident ahead of a bumper two weeks of competition in the Asia Dream Cup (ADC).

Waters is en route to Suzuka in Japan for the championship’s fourth round, with round five to follow at the Autopolis International Race Course just seven days afterwards.

It’s a crucial period for the experienced road racer who has been putting time and effort into adapting his style to suit the smaller Honda CBR250R.

“I have been focusing on my physical fitness and on spending lots of time on my CBR250R since the last round and so am looking forward to the next two rounds,” said Waters.

With the majority of rival riders already well-experienced at the tracks on the ADC circuit, Waters faces a steeper learning curve, which he takes in his stride.

“It is always a challenge to get to know new tracks as quickly as possible but I am hoping to be at the competitive end of the field right from the first practice session.”

After three rounds of competition the Victorian rider is placed a credible 10th.
