Aussie Josh Waters will look to use the momentum built from his podium finish at the Silverstone 200 MotoGP support races when the British Superbike Championship (BSB) continues at Donington Park this weekend.

Waters placed fourth in last weekend’s first leg, before improving a place to finish on the podium alongside Milwaukee Yamaha teammate and overall winner, James Ellison.

He is confident he can build upon this form and the additional time spent on the Yamaha R1 when the BSB resumes at the Leicestershire circuit.

“We had a good weekend at Silverstone with some more time on the bike and I was feeling quite comfortable so I am looking forward to having a go at Donington Park,” said Waters.

“We made more improvements at Cadwell Park, which is a quirky kind of track, so hopefully we can build on that this weekend.”

Waters is eager to round out his maiden British campaign with top results, and will be targeting more finishes within the top 10 in Sunday’s pair of 20-lap races.
