Glenn Allerton believes he has a good chance of regaining the ASBK crown next year.

Dual Australian Superbike Champion Glenn Allerton is set to remain at Next Gen Motorsports for the 2014 race season.

As of yet Allerton and the team have not confirmed where they will be racing, but former champ Allerton has hinted at what might be on the cards for next year in an interview with CycleOnline.com.au this afternoon.

“I can say for sure I will be riding for Next Gen Motorsports,” Allerton said.

“There will most likely be some WSBK wildcard rides throughout the year and that next year will be very similar to what I did in 2013,” Allerton added.

One thing for certain is that Allerton who won the ASBK title in 2011 and then subsequently lost it to Team Suzuki rider Wayne Maxwell this year, has a lot of confidence in regaining the crown come next year.

“In reality I had the championship lead this year until I fell off at the Sydney Motorsport Park round, I think next year you will find we will be in the hunt to clinch the title,” Allerton said.

Allerton did confirm that his and Next Gen Motorsports plans are almost finalised and will be announced in the coming weeks.
