Australia’s current and three-time Qatar Superbike Champion, Alex Cudlin looks to resolve arm that plagued him in round two of the 2013/2014 Qatar Superbike Championship at the Losail circuit late last month.

After a computer glitch rendered his pole setting time obsolete the Taree born rider would eventually ride to a pair of second places behind fellow countryman Anthony West.

A badly buckled front wheel during race one is thought to be the reason Cudlin suffered arm pump for the first time in his racing career.

“Getting arm pump was a strange sensation – I’ve never experienced it before, even in 24-hour endurance races,” said Cudlin. “I have a feeling I got it because I spent the whole of the first race trying to hang onto a machine that was more bucking bronco than motorcycle.”

Even though it was not an ideal finish to the 2013 season for Cudlin, he was still happy with how the year has unfolded.

“I’m happy to finish the 2013 racing year in one piece. I’ve had some good success with my third Qatari title and helping SERT take the World Endurance Championship at Le Mans,” added Cudlin.

Cudlin is now heading home to Australia, where he will relax and also compete at the Troy Baylis Classic before heading back to Qatar in February.

“I’ll relax back home in Australia, do a bit of dirt track racing and get myself fired up to come back here in February ready to race,” said Cudlin.
