Dorna Sports has announced that Tissot, a long-term partner of the MotoGP World Championship, will be the title sponsor of this year’s Australian Grand Prix.

Tissot has been the Official Timekeeper of the MotoGP World Championship since 2001 and a valued partner of the sport for many years.

“We are very pleased to confirm Tissot as title sponsor of the Australian round of the MotoGP World Championship, one of the most spectacular events on the calendar,” said Pau Serracanta, managing director, commercial area at Dorna Sports.

“Tissot are a highly valued, long-term world championship partner of MotoGP and they will once again be a fitting title sponsor for the Phillip Island round.”

The title sponsorship agreement for the Australian Grand Prix also confirms that Tissot advertising will be displayed on signs and banners around the circuit for the entirety of the grand prix weekend.

This year’s Tissot Australian Grand Prix will be the 16th round of the MotoGP World Championship, the second of the triple header over three weekends in Japan, Australia and Malaysia as the season reaches an intense climax.

The event takes place at the picturesque Phillip Island circuit, which has a great racing heritage and has been a permanent fixture on the World Championship calendar since 1997.
