Open class leader to use GP14.1 chassis as of Le Mans round.
Avintia Ducati rider Hector Barbera has been rewarded with an upgraded Desmosedici GP14.1 chassis ahead of MotoGP at Le Mans this weekend.
Barbera has impressed as top of the Open class contingent to date in 2015, sitting four points ahead of Aussie rookie Jack Miller in the standings.
“We go with high motivation and very confident after the test in Jerez, where we found a good set up with the new chassis that would help us to improve,” Barbera said. “The season is going well so far, but is always important to keep pushing.”
The GP14.1 is the same chassis used by the Pramac Ducati Factory entry of Danilo Petrucci, while Barbera’s teammate Mike di Meglio will stick with the regular GP14 at this point.
