Preparations for 2016 season resume in Spain.
South Australian Billy McConnell will continue British Superbike Championship testing with Anvil Hire Yamaha at Almeria this week, spending two days in Spain on board the YZF-R1.
The team continues to spend its initial development on board Superstock bikes, although the full-spec Superbikes have been completed at the workshop during the break.
“This weekend is going to be great, I’m really excited to be going back to Spain and to Almeria to burn some laps on the Anvil Hire Yamaha,” McConnell said. “Again we’ll be on the stock bikes which means I can get back into the swing of things on the bike, and find a little bit more feel with the R1 before we jump onto the Superbike in a few weeks time.
“This time Lee my crew chief will be out there with me so we can start developing a solid working relationship with each other. I’m really excited ahead of this weekend, and hopefully we can get some skids and wheelies pulled!”
After a single season on board a BMW last year, 2014 British Supersport Champion McConnell will line-up alongside James Rispoli and Shaun Winfield in the new-look three-rider outfit.
