Dorna WSBK Organisation and Fox Sports have announced the extension of their contract, confirming Fox Sports as the home of WorldSBK in Australia once again.

The contract extension will ensure fans can see the WorldSBK and WorldSSP races shown live across the country, including live coverage of the WorldSBK Tissot-Superpole qualifying shootout.

With a crew on site at Phillip Island for the first race of the new era of WorldSBK this weekend, Fox Sports will continue to make sure that Australian fans remain as close to the wheel-to-wheel racing of their home heroes as possible.

Local riders Josh Brookes and Josh Hook line up fulltime on the WorldSBK stage in 2016 and British reigning world champion Jonathan Rea also calls Australia home during the year.

“It’s fantastic that we will continue to show WorldSBK in 2016 with every race live and ad-break free on Fox Sports,” said Patrick Delany, Fox Sports CEO.

“Fox Sports is the home of motorsport in Australia with every Formula 1, V8 Supercars, MotoGP and World Superbike race and qualifying session live in HD.”

The first races of the new season take place this weekend as Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit near Melbourne hosts the first Round of the year, with every round once again to be shown on Fox Sports in Australia, followed in addition by a new double-length highlights show on SBS after every race meeting as another thrilling season of WorldSBK begins.
