Consistency is starting to build for Australian rookie Jacob Roulstone as he continues to gain experience with yet another points-scoring result at round five of the 2024 Moto3 World Championship in France.

The Red Bull GasGas Tech3 teenager has been highly impressive in his debut season with a number of top 15 finishes, most recently charging to P12 at Le Mans despite still experiencing the effects of a crash at Jerez last month.

“I was quite good at the start of the race and this is something that I’ve struggled with previously,” Roulstone explained. “I opted for the medium tyre, so I knew it would come good.

“I settled into my groove and got up to seventh but then into turn two one of the other riders ran me wide. My shoulder was a bit weak this weekend, but something I could handle. I have learned a lot this weekend and I’m happy with how I got to grips with the track – I will take that into Barcelona.”

Roulstone led fellow Australian Joel Kelso (BOE Motorsports) across the line, the pair now ranked 13th and fifth respectively in the championship standings. The series returns on 24-26 May at Catalunya, Spain.
